I improvise for the present moment. It is all about feeling it... channeling it... being it.... in the present moment. I'm happy improvising, and I'm happy to let work exist only as long as it does. 

There's no substitute for listening to improvised music live; as with all forms of improvisation, something human -- something ~extra~ is happening in the room when you are with the person... as they are discovering what they are saying. 

But of course, sometimes it's recorded!
