I am thrilled that you’re interested in joining my next online songwriting class. I love hosting groups of artists in a classroom-workshop format. 

We’ll be breaking down the writing process into fun, repeatable, low stakes activities. The best songs come from a playful place in you; deep truths about ourselves get revealed as we play with writing processes that uplift and center the unconscious. 

Songwriting is made up of lyrics, melody, and accompaniment. Each week will explore one of those, and experiment with playful “games” to get us aware of what is possible. We will be invited into sprawling out as a writer, taking time to luxuriate & experience how it feels to express ourselves. 

Although participants will intentionally develop material we have no intention on finishing, we will write 10 or more — with less effort than ever — during the brief class. 

Come be a part of a community of learners! Rather than just ’sending in your assignments to a teacher’, we share our songs live & via informal demos, absorbing feedback and flexing the muscles of vulnerability. The format allows you to draw lots of inspiration from each other — and practice admiring and appreciating our classmate’s work as a way to practice seeing the best in ourselves. Any level and genre is welcome — the principles and pedagogy are accessible and impactful no matter your experience level.
